Design Alessi by Achille Castiglioni
The Spirale ashtray is a classic in its product family. The design dates from 1970 and was first produced by the Italian company Bacci. It was not until 1986 that Alessi took over the production of the ashtray. The design, which is smart as well as beautiful, was adapted in the size of the Achille Castiglioni in 1986.
The design was created by Achille Castiglioni and provides innovative and obvious solutions to a wide range of problems. In principle, Spirale consists of a bowl and a spiral. The spiral lies along the edge of the ashtray and holds on to cigarettes so that they don't fall into the ashtray.
For cleaning purposes, the spiral can be taken out of the ashtray so that the bowl can be easily cleaned.
